Brockport Central School District Solves Wi-Fi Woes with Aerohive’s Innovative Cloud-Managed Networking Solution
During ISTE 2019, we are happy to publish a new customer success story with Brockport Central School District. The Brockport Central School District is a 1:1 school from kindergarten through 12th grade. On average, they see 3,800 unique devices (a mixture of iPads and Windows laptops) on their network per day. Prior to choosing Aerohive as their enterprise Wi-Fi provider, they were relying on consumer-grade access points that were spread throughout the campus. These APs were time consuming to install, manage, and troubleshoot. As they expanded their mobility plans for the classroom, the IT department would need a solution that was enterprise class, but also easy to install and manage.
“HiveManager gives us great visibility into our entire campus. We know what is happening, where it’s happening, and who’s doing it. We can make a policy change to address new issues and push it out campus wide with a few clicks of a mouse.”
– Wayne Rickman, IT Manager
Going forward, Brockport is working on two Aerohive-related projects, including integrating their Dell switches in HiveManager so they can manage their entire network from a single dashboard. They are also planning to purchase and deploy Aerohive A3, which will provide enterprise-grade functionality for securing, managing and controlling all devices on the network. Brockport’s IT team will use Aerohive A3 to manage onboarding of devices and to know when new devices are added to the network.
We loved hearing how our products have enabled their IT team to take control of their network while not adding onsite management hardware.
