Aerohive Launches New Regional Data Center in Sweden
Aerohive has always desired to give IT departments a choice in how they deploy our products and services. Organizations in different countries have different compliance requirements, and we want our products to be flexible enough to fit every scenario or situation.
Aerohive was one of the early leaders in cloud-managed networking. In the early days of our company, IT managers could sometimes be hesitant about using cloud networking. Thankfully, our customers have always been able to decide on HiveManager either in their own data center or in our public cloud. The choice has always been up to the customer! Over the past few years, cloud management for networking has become the norm, though.
For customers in the Nordics and Baltics, the public cloud offering has come a lot closer to them. They can use HiveManager Public Cloud and have the data remain in the region. The Nordic version of HiveManager Public Cloud includes all of our latest features like HiveManager AI, Machine Learning, and Client 360. And new cloud customers residing in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lituania will automatically use the new regional data center (RDC). Existing Aerohive customers have the option to migrate their Hivemanager instance from its current location (whether it be public cloud in another RDC, local cloud (on-premise) or legacy HiveManager Classic) to the new RDC and benefit from all the latest innovations from Aerohive.
Moving to HiveManager Public Cloud will allow customers to use all of Aerohive’s great features in a turn-key package. For distributed organizations, they will be able to manage all of them in a single interface without having to deal with complex networking solutions or juggle multiple vendors. For single campus organizations, they’ll have one less piece of their infrastructure to manage and maintain onsite.
It’s important to remember that the location your HiveManager Public Cloud resides in, doesn’t impact network speeds locally or impact onsite operations whatsoever. Aerohive’s global cloud footprint now includes 13 Public and Private regional data centers in 11 countries: United States, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia, and New Zealand.
Aerohive Public and Private Cloud regional data centers include analytics, guest access, and IoT Management. They also contain native artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, are programmable API-driven, and ISO 27001 compliant.
For existing customers in the Nordis and Baltics, who are ready to move to HiveManager Public Cloud, our professional support team can walk you through each step in the process! If you are still using HiveManager Classic, now is a great time to upgrade to the new HiveManager. Read more about the upgrade process in a recent blog post.
It’s been a busy 2019 at Aerohive, and we’re just getting started. You might say we’re moving at “cloud 💨” speed with this global data center expansion in Sweden. 🇸🇪
