Aerohive Employees Give Back Through Sunnyvale Community Services
Last week, Aerohive employees volunteered by pre-packing grocery bags full of healthy and responsible food items to be distributed to impacted schools in Sunnyvale. These grocery bags will provide meals to fill the hunger gap that some children experience over the weekend. Aerohive team members packed 300 total bags for four Sunnyvale schools, and Sunnyvale Community Services will also be making homebound delivers to those who can’t make it in to shop.
Part of our contributions included volunteering to pack food, which will be distributed to the Sunnyvale homeless population. The Sunnyvale Community Services organization services about 1200 families and 800 seniors in the local community. Families in the area have an opportunity to visit Sunnyvale Community Services’ food pantry and grocery shop twice a month, receiving healthy and responsible food, such as fresh produce and meat donated through food rescue programs from local stores like Whole Foods. They receive healthy choices and high-quality food, also donated from Second Harvest Food Bank.
Thank you to all the employees who volunteered!
