The Harrisonburg City Public School system in Virginia could no longer provide reliable, secure wireless network access to its 4400 students (K-12) and 750 faculty members using the consumer-grade wireless access points they had implemented a few years ago. Network Administrator Dwayne Hottinger approached the Division Technology Committee at their monthly meeting with an ultimatum: "Either we find a wireless system that works, or we don't have a wireless system at all." Hartlepool Borough Council Hartlepool and Northgate Managed Services Create Town-wide e-Learning Network with Aerohive Wi-Fi Solution

The Borough of Hartlepool on the northeast coast of England is striving to give teachers and students broadband access in an effort to improve learning opportunities, both in and out of the classroom. The project, known as the Hartepool LearnNet, allows for wireless LANs in schools, as well as other locations where students gather, such as community centers, youth centers, and libraries, so any student with a laptop or personal device can access the Internet and on-line curriculum applications from wireless hot spots.
