Platform Engineer (Sunnyvale, CA)

Aerohive is expanding its engineering team in order to serve its growing customer base. This Platform Engineer position will have the opportunity to wear multiple hats, and the chance to take on the toughest challenges. With a fast growing company, you will be a major contributor to the team, working on leading edge technology, building your software development experience, and working with a group of enthusiastic people just like you. The position may require travel to our China R&D center occasionally.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS EE/CS/CE along with a minimum of 5-7 years of work experience
• Master of C programming, hands on software development experience, working knowledge of:
  • Board bring up and u-boot hands on experience
  • Cross-compilation, GNU binutil, JTAG, embedded systems, ICE, debug tools, etc
  • Linux kernel guru
• Knowledge of the following is a plus:
  • Embedded multi-core OS software development
  • Networking protocols (layer 2, 3 and 4-7)
  • Network security
• Must have solid problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to find your own way out of the woods for technical challenges
• Architectural skills desired (portability, modularity, & implement/design) - "Good programmers know what to write, great ones know what to rewrite (and reuse)."
• Can-do attitude and team player are a must
